** available as of 06/15/2026
Prerequisites: NEUR 101, BIOL 251, and BIOL 361 (BIOL 361 may also be taken as a Corequisite).
This course gives students hands on experience with gross dissection methods and cellular and molecular approaches for identifying cell types and organization of neurons and their connections in the brain and in the periphery.
Outcomes: Ability to identify neural cells; Ability to recognize, dissect, and label nervous system structures; Ability to conduct, interpret, and describe procedures that identify neural cell types and structures.
