Medical Anthropology & Global Health

This course examines how society and health are intertwined using medical anthropology and global health. Medical anthropology is the study of how health and illness are shaped, experienced, and understood cross-culturally, while global health is dedicated to improving the health of populations worldwide.

Outcomes: Students will learn how medical anthropologists and global health scientists work in varying cultural contexts to understand health and illness. Students will apply their knowledge to develop a research proposal.
