Privacy Program Management
Prerequisites: LAW 918 or LAW 823 is a prerequisite. If working on the Certificate in Privacy Law, no prerequisites are required for this course.
This course explores advanced concepts in privacy and security law and is designed as a continuation of either of the introductory privacy courses (LAW 918 or LAW 823). This course will present a complex compliance privacy and security scenarios each module which the student must analyze and comment upon.
Outcomes: Understand and apply the 7 elements of a compliance program to the analysis and formation of an effective privacy compliance program; Apply basic legal and regulatory principles to the evaluation of issues in complex scenarios related to privacy and security issues; Demonstrate an understanding of the risks and mitigation tactics needed to enhance privacy/security program management.
