Description
Social Policy and Older Adults
This course will focus on services issues related to geriatric case management, home care and the continuum of community based services as well as the relationship between informal and formal support. In addition to exploring direct services and programs for older adults, there will be consideration of the needs and services for family caregivers.

Outcomes: Students in this class will demonstrate the capacity to engage in critical thinking, apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, engage in policy practice to advance social and economic well-being and to deliver effective social work services; and respond to contexts that shape practice.
