Studies in Fiction Since 1900
This course is a study of fiction centered on a theme, topic, genre, critical approach, author, or group of authors. Readings may cut across historical periods and geographical boundaries, but will focus on fiction written since 1900.

Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate an ability to employ descriptive and critical language appropriate to the discussion and analysis of fiction generally and, in particular, of the kind of fiction (eg theme, topic, genre, etc) on which the course is centered; Students will be able to demonstrate an ability to articulate the formal and thematic continuities and discontinuities among these works.
