Methods of Teaching K-3: Social Studies
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of teaching social studies to student in Kindergarten through third grades.
Outcomes: Teacher candidates will become prepared to develop social studies curriculum appropriate for students in the primary grades including the development of a classroom management philosophy (and the necessary skills for implementing it), as well as the development of instructional techniques in preparation for student teaching.
