Development and Social Change in Modern China
This course examines change and development in modern China from the late Qing period to the present, focusing on the movement from a planned economy to a market-based economy.

Outcomes: Students will gain knowledge of China's economic development path, and will apply gender and/or class-based analysis to patterns of social change.
