Violence and Culture
This course examines the complex relationships between violence and culture using the ethnographic method as practiced by anthropologists and other social scientists.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of the ways violence destroys, alters or produces forms of cultural meaning and social action and the ways in which cultural difference impacts patterns of violence.
