Adaptive and Assistive Technology
In this course, students will learn how to make all physical and virtual aspects of school fully accessible for their students, other faculty, and family members. They will have hands-on experience with a wide range of assistive and adaptive technologies (low, medium, and high tech) and become familiar with the A/A terminology and the most recent legislation related to AAT.

Outcomes: Students will be able to integrate AAT into assessment plans, the IEP process, lesson planning and review, and daily classroom routines; Keeping in mind the specific characteristics of individual students, they will choose and then make use of appropriate technology to accomplish specific instructional/academic, physical, and social/emotional objectives.
