Media Theory and Criticism
This course is an introduction to the study of traditional mass media and new media from a critical and interpretive perspective.

Outcomes: This course reviews semiotics and other methods of textual analysis of media; Students taking the course should be able to understand and apply textual analysis methods to specific media texts, such as films, TV shows or videogames.
