Technology & Material Culture
This course will serve as an introduction to the sociology of things, most notably the sociology of technology, design and the built environment.

Outcomes: Students will develop an understanding of both cultural, constructivist and political-economic approaches to the construction of technology and artifacts, and of a variety of theoretical approaches to the study of their impact and audience-response.
