Community Change
Contemporary communities are examined from a sociological perspective. Both geographic communities and communities of interest are studied.
Outcomes: Students gain an understanding of how research can be used to facilitate social change in community settings; and an awareness of how community organizations, informal networks, and broader social forces shape the character and sustainability of particular communities.
