Description
The Family
This course explores families, their changing internal structures, and their roles in contemporary societies.

Outcomes: Students will develop an understanding of the household division of labor, mothering, the shifting character of marriage, the paid and unpaid work of care, dual career families, single parent households, racial/ethnic families, adoption, blended families, welfare policies, families in the class structure, and global issues.
