Childhood and Society
This course looks at the social construction of childhood, the impact of parents, the media, peer groups, and educational institutions as well as changing social attitudes about the place of children in society.

Outcomes: Students will gain a better understanding of the historical and social manner in which childhood is constructed and the impacts of various social institutions, family, religion, media, education on childhood development.
