For non-science majors. Selected topics from classical and modern physics emphasizing beauty, symmetry, and simplicity. Contemporary issues of physics and society.
Outcomes: Understanding of interaction between theory and experiment, role of physics in society, science vs. nonscience; solve problems using algebra, geometry, vectors, and graphs; synthesize disparate physics topics.
