Cicero's Philosophical Works
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.
This course focuses on translation and understanding of the philosophical works of the orator Cicero, including, for example, De Amicitia.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate the philosophical works of Cicero with proficiency and be able to demonstrate knowledge in detail about the author and his works, as well as deeper understanding and appreciation of the historical, social and intellectual contexts and influences pertaining to them.
