Roman Elegy
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.
The subject of this course is Latin elegiac poetry, including selections from Catullus, Tibullus, Propertius, and Ovid.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate Roman elegy with proficiency, and demonstrate knowledge in detail about the authors, their poetry, and Latin elegy, as well as deeper understanding and appreciation of the historical, social and intellectual contexts and influences pertaining to them.
