Description
The Latin Fathers
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.

This course examines the writings of the early church fathers, including such as Ambrose, Jerome and Augustine; it also comprises an introduction to the historical background of Western patristic thought.

Outcomes: Students should be able to translate these works with proficiency, demonstrate knowledge in detail of the writings, their authors and their times, and appreciate more deeply the issues and concerns located in these writings.
