Cicero's Letters
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.
This course examines the correspondence of Cicero, as well as the political, social, and intellectual context of Classical Rome.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate these works with proficiency, to demonstrate knowledge in detail of the genre of formal Latin correspondence, the author and his times, and to understand and appreciate the ideas, issues and concerns expressed in the letters.
