The Age of Nero
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.
This course focuses on the literature and society of Rome at the time of Nero.
Selected readings are from such authors as Tacitus, Petronius, Seneca, and Lucan.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate accurately the selected readings, analyze and appreciate their style and content, and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of their contexts and meanings.
