Description
Archives and Record Management
This course introduces basic archival theory and methodology. Particular emphasis will be placed on ethics, best practices, and the relationship of archives to allied fields.

Outcomes: Communicate what archives are and the basic tenants of the profession to a lay audience; Apply archival terminology and concepts to real world scenarios; Identify opportunities in the archival field that are appropriate for their career goals and level of experience; Apply the basics of collection care principles to any given collection at an institution; Understand the components of arrangement and description.
