Description
America in the Age of Slavery and Capitalism
This course covers United States social, cultural, economic, and political development during the first half of the nineteenth century.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of how Modern America was built between 1800 and 1850 through the study of urban development, immigration, gender history, educational developments, wars of expansion, and the growth of a democratic society.
