The Caribbean & Central America in Colonial/Modern Times
This course examines the Caribbean and Central America from European conquest and colonization to the present day.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of the significance of the Caribbean and Central America region in world, but especially US, politics since the nineteenth century and increasingly during the Cold War; Students will demonstrate an ability to draw comparisons and contrasts between nations in these regions, especially as they relate to the rest of Latin America and the United States.
