Description
Colonial Latin America
This course will introduce students to the major themes in the colonial history of the region known today as Latin America from conquest to independence.

Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following broad themes: the nature and difficulties of colonial rule in culturally diverse societies; the different ways in which individuals from all walks of life fared in the colonies; and the role that religion and the church played in everyday life.
