Description
Early Modern England 1485-1760
This course surveys the major political, social, economic, religious, and cultural developments in England under the Tudors, Stuarts and early Hanoverians (1485-1760).

Outcomes: Students examine the complexities of the aftermath of the Wars of the Roses; the English Reformation; Elizabethan and Jacobean culture and society; the English Civil War and Glorious Revolution of 1688; the wars against Louis XIV; and the rise of England as a great power.
