This course centers on translation, evaluation and interpretation of selections from Plato's Republic and/or other philosophical dialogues.

Outcomes: Students should demonstrate knowledge in detail about the author and his work; They should engage critically with current scholarship concerned with Platonic thought and the historical, social, and intellectual contexts and influences pertaining to it.
