Description
Herodotus
This course focuses on the Histories of Herodotus, the events about which he writes, and the intellectual, social, literary, and historical contexts in which his work was produced.

Outcomes: Students should demonstrate knowledge in detail of the work, its author, and its historical and political contexts and significances; They should engage critically with current scholarship relating to Herodotus, his project, and his milieu.
