Renaissance Art - Painting
An examination of pictorial arts of the Renaissance in Northern and Southern Europe within the context of the material culture and society of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Content may vary according to the particular focus of the instructor.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate knowledge of techniques, formats, themes, forms, functions, and patronage of European painting and its relation to society and culture and will acquire the skills to critically analyze these relationships.
