Private Life of Ancient Romans
This course constitutes an investigation of the lives of individuals amidst the society of ancient Rome (and the Roman Empire), including, among other things, their involvements in religion, politics, education, and their gender-relations.
Outcomes: Students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of what it was like to be alive and active in ancient Rome, what important issues and concerns affected the ancient Romans (and subjects of Rome) individually, and how these are to be compared and contrasted with their own life issues and concerns.
