Description
Ancient Greek and Roman Coins
This course centers on the numismatics of the ancient Mediterranean world and upon coins as sources for the history, art, epigraphy and mythology of ancient Greece and Rome.

Outcomes: Students should be able to recognize, assess and interpret various types of Greek and Roman coins; They should be able to demonstrate good comprehension of technical terms associated with ancient Mediterranean numismatics.
