Romance Novel in Ancient World
Prerequisites: UCLR 100, UCLR 100C, UCLR 100E, UCLR 100M, or equivalent; please check requirements for declared majors/minors for exceptions.
This course introduces students to the ancient masterworks of Greek and Roman fiction in the form of the novel.
Outcomes: Students should be able to appreciate and explain the ancient romance novel, including the components of structure, characterization, theme, narrative technique, style, and meaning.
