Description
Genetics
This course surveys principles and processes of genetic inheritance, gene expression, molecular biology, developmental, quantitative, population and evolutionary genetics.

Prerequisites: For Bioinformatics and Biophysics Majors ONLY: BIOL 101; CHEM 102 or CHEM 106 or CHEM 180; For all other majors: BIOL 102, 112; CHEM 102 or CHEM 106 or CHEM 180.

Outcomes: Students will develop knowledge and awareness of the genetic bases of modern biology; They will understand Mendelian principles of inheritance, chromosome and DNA structure and replication, gene expression, molecular biology, genetic bases of development and other biological processes, and quantitative, population and evolutionary genetics.
