Prerequisites: EABA 400.

Philosophical Underpinnings of Behavior Analysis is designed to introduce students to the philosophy of the field, with a focus on verbal behavior. The course focuses on applying radical behaviorism as a framework for understanding behavior. Examining the intersection of behavior analysis and multiculturalism is also covered.

Outcomes: Demonstrate an understanding of the foundations of behavior analysis; Apply radical behaviorism as a framework for understanding behavior; Critically analyze and apply philosophical concepts to behavior analysis; Develop skills in writing, research, and scholarly analysis; Explore the role of language and relational frame theory in behavior analysis; Examine the intersection of behavior analysis and multiculturalism; Demonstrate mastery of course content through assessment and facilitation.
