This course focuses on the biocultural evolution of our species, Homo sapiens.
It addresses the basic human desire for self-understanding. We explore what it means to be human through the use of genetics, non-human primates, and the fossil record. Each section of the course contributes to an overall understanding of human origins and the process of evolution.

Outcomes: By the end of the semester students will have a better understanding of human nature, our relationship to the world around us, and our interactions with each other.
