Description
Prerequisites: Sophomore Standing; minimum grade of "C-" in SCMG 332 or SCMG 332H or SCMG 232 or SCMG 232H; ISSCM 241 or ISSCM 241H or STAT 103.

This course introduces students to the core principles of sourcing and supplier management, emphasizing real-world applications. It presents best practices in sourcing and supplier management and covers specific areas such as spend management, risk management, contract management, and supplier scorecards. It also highlights integral complementary processes such as inventory management, logistics and order fulfillment.

Outcomes: Students will engage in discussions about best practices in global procurement and analyze their application; Research a global organization that performs sourcing and supplier management and present findings to the class; Participate in discussions on emerging topics like spend management, risk, contract management and scorecards; Analyze a sourcing and supplier management strategy to present to a Board of Directors.
