Description
This course is an introduction to reflection on and analysis of the Christian theological tradition.

Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the tasks of Christian theology in its efforts to understand the human situation from the perspective of faith, various challenges to theology in the contemporary world, and will focus on one or more current theological issues.

This course introduces Christian theology by beginning with universal human longings¿for justice, beauty, relationship, and meaning¿and exploring how Christian faith engages and responds to such desires. Using the Apostles¿ Creed as a guide, we will study the development of core Christian beliefs from the early church to today, considering their significance for both faith and life in the contemporary world.
