Description
This course will cover practical techniques in responding to suspected non-compliance as well as liability exposure in how investigations are handled. The course will also discuss resolution of identified non-compliance and methods for discharging an organization's legal obligations to correct non-compliance, including self-disclosures and refunds. Additionally, the course will cover responding to government inquiries and audits.

Outcomes: Students will understand the context for internal investigations; Students will learn practical skills for planning and conducting internal investigations; Students will learn how internal investigations are resolved; Students will understand how to identify and access the information available on websites of relevant regulatory/accreditation agencies; Students will understand how to respond to government inquiries, audits, and investigations (including those of government contractors); Students will understand the interplay between government and internal investigations.
