Class Notes
This is a writing intensive class. A grade of C- or better in UCWR 110 is required to enroll. This course surveys ideas, images, and doctrines associated with the person of Jesus Christ. Materials for study will include the New Testament Gospels (with Mark Allan Powell, Fortess Introduction to the Gospels, as a guide), Jesus Through the Centuries: His Place in the History of Culture by Jaroslav Pelikan, and various required readings posted to Sakai. Although this writing-intensive course includes a variety of smaller writing assignments, the major project will involve each student chosing, researching, and presenting to the class a distinct perspective on the enduring significance of the person and work of Jesus.
