This course includes a service-learning component and internship experience.
Strengthen your resume, gain valuable work experience, and bring the best intellectual resources to bear on questions of meaning, purpose, and work! This 3-credit cohort experience will accompany a 100-hour internship in any area of the student¿s choosing related to the study of religion and theology. Students are welcomed to engage in non-profit work, elementary or secondary education (teaching or campus ministry), the academic study of religion/theology (serving as an undergraduate TA), or to work with a religious community, congregation, or parish of their choosing. Other internship options are available on request. The cohort will meet with Dr. Brecht on a regular basis to discuss the concept of vocation and how it might inform our understanding of meaning, purpose, and work.
