Description
Survey of the Latin American short story from the middle of the 19th century to the present.

Outcomes: Students will be able to contextualize short stories, to analyze them both formally and thematically, and to recognize the different types of short story written in Latin American: realist, fantastic, folkloric, indigenist, humorous, detective, metaphysical, social protest, feminist, etc.
