Description
Prerequisites: For BIOL-BS, BIOL-MINR, and BIOE-BS students: BIOL 102 and NEUR 101; For all others: NEUR 101.

Overview of topics and methodologies used in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience including: attention, learning and memory, language, reasoning, decision making, intelligence, emotions, social cognition, and consciousness. BIOL 284 is cross-listed with PSYC 382.

Outcomes: Students will understand theories regarding brain mechanisms, underlying mental events and the technologies used for studying these mechanisms.
