Class Notes
Technology includes everything from discrete technical artifacts to complex digital tools and networks. Moreover, each of these singular technologies spawn systems which shape our social behavior, wield economic and political power, and confront our political values. Yet we tend to pay scant attention to them, except when they fail or when we stand in line to purchase the latest gadget. This course examines our current technological political discourse and evaluates our social responses to the technologies we use.
