Class Notes
Asynchronous Class Meeting: All instruction for this section will be delivered online asynchronously. This course will have both synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Students are required to attend at least 4 synchronous sessions per week and they have to watch the recordings of the synchronous sessions they miss. We will use the digital textbook Avanti 5e (ebook) by Janice Aski. Students will need to purchase their online textbook (through a link provided by the teacher) and to activate their Zoom account (available to Loyola University students for free). Since the course will be held entirely online, it requires students to work independently and follow a very structured syllabus. Each day everyone will be involved in a variety of online tasks, such as reading, listening, completing exercises, posting writing assignments, and recording responses on Panopto or Voicethread.
