Description
Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.

This course examines the works of Livy or Sallust and their contexts in the later Republic and early Empire.

Outcomes: Students should be able to translate these works with proficiency and demonstrate knowledge in detail of the author/s studied and the contents of the writings, as well appreciation for the genre of historical writing and for its significance within its political and intellectual context.
