Prerequisite: GREK 102.
This course centers on translation of representative selections from the poetic works of ancient Greek authors, with special emphases on review of Greek grammar as it is encountered in the selected texts and the basic style and structure of Greek poetry.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate accurately the selected passages in Greek poetry, comprehend, analyze and appreciate various poetic genres, as well as demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the content and artistry of the selected poetry.
