Description
This course is a study of selected literature of the Tudor, Stuart, and Cromwellian periods, excluding Shakespeare, by authors such as Sidney, Spenser, Lanyer, Donne, Wroth, and Milton.

Outcomes: Students will become familiar with: the texts of significant authors of the period; how to read these texts in relation to the intellectual and social contexts in which they were produced; the literary genres, traditions, and conventions they employed and transformed.
Enrollment Requirements
Pre-requisites: UCWR 110 and one 200-level English course.
