Calculus-based introduction to vectors, kinematics, Newtonian mechanics of translational, rotational, and oscillatory motion, energy and momentum conservation, and thermodynamics.

Corequisite: MATH 131 or MATH 161.

Outcomes: Understanding of analytical description of motion and application of conservation laws; develop scientific insight and proficiency in solving representative problems.
