Description
This course is designed for beginners and those with modest acquaintance to Arabic. Through a culturally rich context, it focuses on functional articulation of Modern Standard Arabic with a limited exposure to Damascene (Shaami) dialect.

Outcomes: Students will be able to write simple sentences, understand selected principles of basic grammar and vocabulary, and will be introduced to Modern Standard Arabic as well as to a modern spoken dialect; Students will learn aspects of Arab culture.
