Description
Prerequisites: HIST 101 or HIST 102. No requirement for students with a declared major or minor in History.

This course examines the history, aims, organization, and control of public and private schools in the United States. Emphasis is placed on the historical examination of issues of diversity, inclusion and exclusion as they relate to education.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate the ability to evaluate and explain the forces of historical continuity and change in American education.
