Description
This course is an introduction to the study of traditional mass media and new media from a critical and interpretive perspective.

Outcomes: This course reviews semiotics and other methods of textual analysis of media. Students taking the course should be able to understand and apply textual analysis methods to specific media texts, such as films, TV shows or videogames.
